For those of us who were dazzled by Bonnie Jensen's debut album,
"Lucky So And So" the wait is over and the news is all good. Her
latest offering, "Blue Joy" is another eclectic collection of
standards and original compositions.
Once again she is supported by a roster of first-rate players,
but it is the haunting timbre of her exquisite voice that compels
us to play her tracks over and over again. She fearlessly exposes
her disappointments, her longings, and the detachment that accompanies
the "lush life."
But, somehow she remains hopeful and so do we.
